If you have been given the right to act as a delegate for another user, you will be able to act throughout Vita on their behalf.
Because Vita consists of 2 interrelated systems, you need to be given delegate access in both systems (Elements and Vita). If you seem to be missing access, please check with the person you are assisting to be sure they have granted access in both places.
Note: Both you and the person you are assisting must have an account in Elements before delegate access can be created in Elements or Vita.
Impersonation in Vita
If you have been given the right to act as a delegate for another user in Vita, you will see an Impersonate User widget in the lower right corner of your screen.
Enter the person's username (lastname.#) in the field and click Impersonate. You will see the person's username rather than your own in the upper-right corner.
When you impersonate in Vita, the system will pull information from the other person's Elements account, regardless of whether you are actively impersonating them in Elements.
To cease impersonating, click the Cease button on the Impersonate widget.
Impersonation in Elements
If you have been given the right to act as a delegate for another user in Elements, you will see the Impersonate Another User option in the header menu.
As a delegate, you can then impersonate them to manage and edit records on their behalf.

This takes you to a screen listing all the users for whom you can act as a delegate. Unless you are an administrator for a large group, this will normally be only one or two other users.
To impersonate a user, click their name.

You will now be "impersonating" the user and can manage and edit records on their behalf.
The system will show their name at the top of the screen.
To cease impersonating, click the red x next to their name.
