Edit Records

Elements records can be edited. There are slight variations depending on if you are editing a record you added manually or a record harvested by Elements.

All records harvested by Elements need to be converted to a manual record before you can edit a record.

Caution

If you edit a co-authored publication harvested by Elements, any changes made to the record will apply equally to all co-authors. Use Vita's supporting data form to manage your personal co-authored information including description of effort, percent contribution, authorship type, and more.

Convert Harvested Publication to Manual Data Source

Alternate path: Menu > Publications > Publication title > Add manual record

  1. From the Elements homepage scroll down to My Summary.
  2. Click on the Publication type of the claimed record you want to edit.
