Presenting wirelessly using Crestron AirMedia

For classrooms that feature AirMedia wireless presentation capability.

A wireless display allows the user to mirror content from other devices without the necessity of connection cables.
Android

The first time you connect, install the Crestron AirMedia Android app from the Google Play Store.

  1. Click Wireless Display on the classroom touch panel to project the room’s IP address (example: 111.222.333.444) and 4-digit pin number on the screen in the classroom.
  2. Open AirMedia and enter the IP Address of the AirMedia receiver in the URL bar.
  3. Your Android device will now ask for permission to record or mirror your screen. Select Start Now to begin screen mirroring.
  4. A new window will pop up asking for the AirMedia pin-code; enter the pin.
  5. Your Android device will automatically start displaying your device’s screen.

Note: Android devices will not pass audio from your device to the in-room audio system. This is a limitation of the Android operating system.

iOS

The first time you connect, install the Crestron AirMedia iOS app from the Apple App Store.

  1. Click Wireless Display on the classroom touch panel to project the room’s IP address (example: 111.222.333.444) and 4-digit pin number on the screen in the classroom.
  2. Open the Crestron AirMedia app and go to the Connect screen
  3. Enter the room’s AirMedia receiver IP address in the search bar.
  4. A new window will pop up asking for the pin; enter the pin.
  5. A Start Screen Mirroring screen on your device will tell you how to mirror your screen.
  6. Open the Control Center on your iOS device by swiping down from the top right corner.
  7. Tap the Screen Mirroring button it is the icon with two overlapping rectangles.
  8. From the list of AirPlay destinations, select the IP Address you previously entered.
MacOS 15.4 and newer
  1. Click Wireless Display on the classroom touch panel to project the room’s IP address (example: 111.222.333.444) and 4-digit pin number on the screen in the classroom.
  2. Open a web browser and type in the IP Address of the AirMedia receiver.
  3. When the webpage loads, click on the Start Presenting button.
  4. The first time you connect, download and install the Crestron AirMedia application. Open the application.
  5. A window will pop up asking for the pin; enter the pin to link to the Air Media receiver.
  6. Open the Apple Menu in the top left corner of the screen, click on System Preferences, then navigate to Displays.
  7. With the Displays menu open, in the bottom left corner click Add Display.
  8. Select the AirMedia receiver in the pop-up window.
  9. Enter the pin code a second time in the pop-up window, and AirPlay will mirror your screen.
Windows PC
  1. Click Wireless Display on the classroom touch panel to project the room’s IP address (example: 111.222.333.444) and 4-digit pin number on the screen in the classroom.
  2. Open a web browser and type in the IP Address of the AirMedia receiver.
  3. When the webpage loads, click on the Start Presenting button.
  4. The first time you connect, download and install the Crestron AirMedia application. Open the application.
  5. A new window will pop up asking for the pincode to proceed, enter the pin.
  6. Your screen is now mirrored to the AirMedia receiver.
