CarmenBooks: Communicate with Students

Students will receive an automated email when they register for a course that uses CarmenBooks.

Additionally, we recommend mentioning that the course uses CarmenBooks in your syllabus and making your syllabus available on syllabus.osu.edu.

We encourage you to message the class prior to the semester beginning to remind them about the program.

What options do students have for participating?

Students who enroll in the course are automatically included and charged for their materials; they will pay for their textbooks with their tuition and fees. Their participation en masse is what makes the price discounts viable.

Students do have the option to opt-out before the course starts and until the class session’s 100% Add/Drop date.

If a student opts-out or drops the class before that date, they are issued a full refund. Otherwise, they are charged for the materials. There are no partial refunds.
