Create Microsoft 365 Collaborations

Collaborations in CarmenCanvas are areas where multiple users can work together on the same document, at the same time. You can use Microsoft 365 to create a collaboration with a Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file.

You can select individual users, groups, or both as members for a collaboration.

Limitations

The Microsoft 365 integration currently includes a few limitations when creating Collaborations:

  • Collaborations only work to create new files. You will not be able to connect a Collaboration with a previously created file or collaboration.

  • Collaborations do not connect with SpeedGrader or the course gradebook.

  • Collaborators can be added or removed at any time, but once a user is removed from the course collaboration, the user still has access to the collaboration in the user's OneDrive folder, unless the user is also removed from the Sharing within OneDrive.
