You can use the Mediasite integration to submit a recording to any video-based assignments. The integration allows you to submit any existing Mediasite recording in your account or to add a new recording, all without leaving the assignment page.
- Locate and open the assignment then click Submit Assignment.
- Under Choose a submission type, click on the More box. Then click Mediasite LTI 1.3 Tool.

- If prompted, authorize Mediasite access to access your account.

On the next screen you will see any videos you recently uploaded to Mediasite; the search field can be used to locate any recordings that are not immediately visible. You can also click the Add New button to create a new recording or upload a video file you created elsewhere.

To Add a New Video
Clicking the Add New button gives you three options:
- Record Video: In-Browser will open Mediasite Capture in a new window.
- Record Video: With App will open Mediasite Mosaic if you have it installed.
- Add Video: Choose File lets you choose a media file to upload from your computer.
Once you have uploaded your recording, wait for processing to finish. You can choose to link the video or embed it—both options will look the same to your instructor.
To Select An Existing Video
You should see a list of your most recent recordings; you can also use the search bar to locate a recording. By default, the integration shows you presentations that you own. If you are working with collaborators, you may need to check Shared With Me under Owner to ensure you can locate the video you need.
Once you locate your recording, you can choose to link the video or embed it— both options will look the same to your instructor.
After you have selected your recording, click Submit Assignment. During submission, Mediasite will create a copy of the recording that your instructor can view and access; the original will remain in your account.
You can submit the assignment while the “Currently Working” notice is visible in Carmen. However, we recommend returning to the submission page to verify that you can see a thumbnail of your recording.
