Creating and Sharing Workbooks or Templates

Caution

Accessibility in PebblePad

Prior to developing and sharing content using PebblePad, please carefully read over the Accessibility in PebblePad guide. These guidelines provide strategies for creating accessible content and information on how to get assistance with accessibility concerns.

Any user with accessibility concerns may contact ePortfolio@osu.edu. Learning Systems Support staff will coordinate with a student's instructors to arrange appropriate accommodations. Students with existing relationships with Student Life Disability Services can reach out to their Access Specialist for assistance with PebblePad. The Learning Systems Support Team can work with the accessibility specialists to provide additional training and technical support for the tool.

In PebblePad, Resources are guided learning experiences you can create for students to complete. They can be templates or workbooks. Templates are like single-page worksheets, whereas workbooks are a more complex collection of templates. They can be used to walk students through individual assignments, assignments with an iterative process, or be a collection of work done throughout the class.

UX Tip

Learn how to incorporate ePortfolios and reflective practice in your course and how this can benefit your students.

You can create workbooks or templates that contain guided learning experiences by going to the workbook or template building tools found under the main menu. See the Creating a workbook article for steps on how to access and create workbooks.

Once you have created your workbook or template, you can copy the Share URL and add it to the appropriate place in Carmen or other communications. The link allows whoever clicks it to access the shared workbook or template within their own PebblePad profile.  As soon as students start completing the activities within the workbook or template and save it; it will become an Asset that they can share with others.

For submissions, students will use the Assets share URL and submit that to the appropriate Carmen assignment. For more information, see sharing an Asset.
