The Pearson integration (MyLab & Mastering) connects students from their CarmenCanvas course to assignments and homework related to their textbook.

Instructor Login and Setup Information

1. First you must enable the Pearson integration in your course. Follow the directions to Enable Navigation Links. The Pearson widget is titled MyLab & Mastering.
2. Once you have enabled Pearson, click the MyLab and Mastering link from the left navigation. The Pearson content area opens.
3. Click Authorize.
4. To set up the MyLab course, click Select a MyLab and Mastering product to use with this course. The Pearson site opens in a new window.
5. On the next screen, you will enter your Pearson credentials to link your Carmen course with your MyLab course.
   UX Tip

   After your Pearson course is linked with Carmen, you can add Pearson links to Modules and sync grades between systems. Follow the instructions on the Pearson site (click Training Guide) or using the Pearson instructional videos.

6. Once linked, close the window and return to Carmen.
7. Click MyLab and Mastering. Your course links appear in the Instructor links area. Course links may take up to an hour to appear here.

Student Information

The first time your students click the Pearson link in your course, they will need to create a Pearson MyLab & Mastering course account. If they already have an account, they will be prompted to enter their username and password.

When prompted for access, students will click the Access Code button if they purchased a package from the bookstore or Use a Credit Card or Paypal to purchase access.

Instructors do not need to send an email invitation to their students since students can activate their accounts and enter via the Carmen course.
