Enable Proctorio in Carmen Quiz

Proctorio is compatible with all CarmenCanvas exam settings and can be enabled on new or existing exams.

Exams must have a time limit that does not exceed eight hours.

To use Proctorio, you need to download Google Chrome and install the Proctorio Extension for Chrome. Proctorio only works with Google Chrome. You will only be able to enable Proctorio for a quiz once you have installed the Chrome extension.

Step 1: Add to course navigation

The first step in enabling Proctorio in a Carmen course is to add Proctorio to your course navigation. Follow the directions to Enable Navigation Links. The Proctorio widget is titled Secure Exam Proctor.

Once you have added Proctorio to the course navigation you can enable Proctorio in a quiz.

Step 2: Enable Proctorio in a Quiz

In a quiz that does not have Proctorio enabled, click on the three vertical dots then click Edit

UX Tip

All exams using Proctorio will have the phrase Remotely Proctored in the title.

Check the box next to Enable Proctorio Secure Exam Proctor

Click Save
You will see a Proctorio Settings tab where you can begin the Proctorio Exam Set-up
